Blanket jacket - Serape Blanket Jacket (Proto-Sample)

This blanket jacket made from an upcycled brown serape woven blanket. For a finished look the jacket design is collarless, provides two outside pockets, 3/4 sleeves, and an open closure. One size fits most and to complete the design the hem of the jacket and pockets maintain the original fringe of the blanket.

Measurements as follows:

• Pit to Pit – 25”
• Length – 37”

With handmade items there is always an element of human error, whether it be a missed stitch or overlapping design, yet for me the beauty is in the imperfection.

A proto-sample is the first samples made which correspond to the design phase. The idea is to solely review the style and design aesthetics, which includes everything from the initial design to pattern making and finalizing specifications. These serve as to test for the final product and are offered at discount prices.
