This is a one-of-a-kind quilted jacket made from a vintage quilt. This coat was created using a vintage machine-stitched quilt covered in sweet pastel blocks in a TripAround the World pattern using cotton fabric. For a finished look, the top was hand quilted using a straight-line quilting pattern on a white backing. The hem of the jacket retains the original scalloped edging from the original quilt.
A basic jacket design with one inside pocket, finished off with a neckline that can be a standup neckline or a collared neckline, and 5 button-up closure. One size fits most and sleeves can be rolled up for a comfy look. Quilts are soaked and washed prior to redesigning, there may be some aging spots that adds to the charm. These jackets are like wearing a hug – this is a piece of history, and you can add to its story.
