This 72- by 98-inch handmade quilt was made from a vintage quilt top from the 1970s using various cotton fabrics and patterns. The quilt is hand bound and uses 80/20 batting. The complicated work for this quilt was meticulously hand-sewn and placed in beautiful strips of colors.
Working to preserve vintage quilts and quilt tops not only honors the craftsmanship of the past but also gives new life to these pieces of art. Quilts tops are soaked and washed prior to redesigning. This is truly a beautiful and fun quilt lovingly preserved.
Ready to ship. The quilt in the picture will be the quilt you receive, each quilt is handmade, so they are all unique - no two are alike. Additionally, with handmade items there is always an element of human error, whether it be a missed stitch or overlapping design, yet for me the beauty is in the imperfection.
