This is a one-of-a-kind quilted jacket made from a well loved vintage quilt. This coat was created using a vintage hand-sewn quilt top in a Double Wedding Ring pattern using a variety of cotton fabric. For a finished look, the top was machine quilted using a simple looping meander quilting pattern on a vibrant green floral cotton backing.
The Double Wedding Ring pattern became popular in the late 1920s. This custom jacket is designed incorporating the scalloped edges of the quilt along the hem and lapels. A cropped jacket, it is finished off with a collared neckline and open front. One size fits most and sleeves can be rolled up for a comfy look. These jackets are like wearing a hug – this is a piece of history, and you can add to its story.
